“ET: The Extra-Terrestrial,” February 17 2004, video. Watched this again with the kid for the first time since 1981 or 2. We all loved it, although the little one found it rather scary. I was much more tolerant of the romantic fantasy elements of the thing this time (the flying) and much more aware of the Peter Pan hook. It’s a very fine film and really deserves to be seen by kids in each generation. It’s one of the films that, I believe, will really survive It works as well 20 years after it was first done. Lots of fun. See this one again!
