Get Him to the Greek

Posted on April 27, 2012August 28, 2018 by Village Vidiot

“Get Him to the Greek,” 27 April 2012 (2010), DVD. Yikes, a month without watching a movie Something is very wrong with me these days. Anyway, I liked this rather crude guy flick with Jonah Hill as Aaron Green, charged with getting Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) an aging rock star to the Greek Theater for a reunion concert. Subplots abound but mostly it’s a goof on the music biz. Great work by Sean “Puffy/P Diddy” Combs as the utterly mercenary producer making this happen. Crude, funny, more sincere than expected. Brand is excellent, Hill’s MD girlfriend does not make sense. So it goes. Bronwen really disliked this film. I laughed out loud many times, even after she got up and walked out. Some fun cameos and goofy fake commercials.
