Futureworld

Posted on February 15, 2018August 21, 2018 by Village Vidiot

“Futureworld,” February 15, 2018 (1976), DVD in St. Paul on computer.   Chuck (Peter Fonda) and Tracy (Blythe Danner) star as reporters, he’s print’s Woodward to her TV Barbara Walters, in this sequel to “Westworld”. He smells a rat in this new, elite robot resort Delos after the disaster of “Westworld;” she wants a big interview. They’re off to investigate and, not surprisingly, all is not as it appears. The plots mushy and stupid, and the script is soooooooooo 1970s, but that’s the fun of it. With good supporting work from Arthur Hill as the ‘head’ of the resort, a brief reprise of Yul Brenner as the gunslinger, and Stuart Marglin as a helpful human workman. The robots are coming in this cautionary tale of power and technology
