Pi

Posted on March 17, 2002December 31, 2020 by Village Vidiot

“Pi,” March 17, 2002 (1998), tv/IFC.  This is a scary and disturbing, yet gripping drama about a young computer genius who is trying to find the numerical hook for predicting stock market fluctuations. In the process, he both achieves his goal and attempts to find the numerological/kabbalistic hook into the Bible. Wonderfully played in stark black and white with all the appropriate terror of his mental collapse, it is nonetheless, unable to realize any broader message in its ending. Still, worth the increased blood pressure to watch it. See this one!
