Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Posted on September 1, 2002April 17, 2021 by Village Vidiot

“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” September 1, 2002.  The four of us, my mom also went along, really enjoyed this very true to the book rendition of the book. I think it would have worked better if it was cut about 15-20 minutes, but it was an ok film. Kenneth Branagh is wonderful as the braggart and incompetent wizard, while the real star is the wonderful work done by Jason Isaacs as Lucien Malfoy. Alan Rickman was fine but underused. Maggie Smith won my heart, and it was sweet if painful to see Richard Harris’s last piece of work. Funny, I much preferred the adults. The kids were ok as before, but Hermionie seems to have lost her edge. I still really like the Weasleys
