“The Wild Thornberrys Movie,” 25 December 2002, theater. I went with the kidlet to see this animated flick based on the TV show. It had the usual eco/environmental babble but was still fun. A lovely song by Paul Simon brightens the movie considerably. Nice subplot about family stuff. B- still enjoys this level of film. I hope she makes the move to more sophisticated stuff soon, because I’m beginning to get bored with the cartoons. I guess it took me a long time to get there too. I think I’m going to start taking her to some older PG oriented stuff, but she has little staying power. I sat there really hoping to hear the song at the end again and she’s just dying to get out. Part of a traditional Jewish Christmas. We go to Chinatown with other MOTs in about ½ hour. I hope we don’t get trapped in the approaching blizzard.
