“Role Models,” July 15, 2009 (2008), DVD. Whoops! B, b and I started out watching this Whoops! B, b and I started out watching this incredibly crude R-rated sex farce (I hadn’t noticed we were watching the unrated version) about two guys sentenced to community service helping troubled youth. Not a film for a dad to watch with his daughter, to say the least. The stuff with the kids is fine, but the sex talk, random coupling, and booze and drug chatter is too much. Of course, there is a moral core here as these two losers are transformed by and, in turn, help validate these two troubled kids. Funny in parts, but don’t watch it with your kid!
