October 22, 2011, DVD. I liked this Paul Giamatti vehicle quite a bit. He plays Michael Flaherty, a respectable but failing lawyer in economic distress (he represents lots of poor and elderly folks and moonlights as the coach of a failing local wrestling team) married to stay-at-home mom Jackie (Amy Ryan) who take in Kyle (Alex Schaffer) an abandoned teen who is the grandson of a client (Burt Young) he’s using as a source of funds to stay afloat. The kid is an amazing wrestler. The whole thing blows up when the kid’s and client’s mom/daughter shows up and wants the money and the kid. A good piece of work with some nice acting. A good morality tale. See this film.
