North By Northwest

Posted on August 17, 2018 by Village Vidiot

Alfred Hitchcok’s classic Cold War tale of a NY ad-man, twice-divorced,. hard drinking, still tightly connected to his mother, caught up in a deadly spy game featuring American and foreign agents. Some marvelous tight comic and tense dialogue and plot twists. Featuring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, James Mason, Martin Landau, Leo G Carroll, Mt Rushmore, a new take on art auctions, crop dusting, and the romance of overnight rail travel. Catch the reference to Alger Hiss and the “pumpkin”. The bad guys are really bad, the “good guys” are sometimes not much better. Lots of fun and exciting twists and turns.
