Nurse Betty

Posted on August 17, 2018 by Village Vidiot

A very good concept film with a weak ending. Sweet little Renee Zellwenger (in her first good role in ages) sees her nasty husband executed in a gangster-like hit/scalping and flips out. She imagines she is in the world of a TV soap opera and is leaving hubby for her ex-fiance, an MD on the soap. She journeys all the way to LA chased by two hitmen, Morgan Freeman and Chris Rock. RZ and MF are fine, Greg Kinnear as the la-la doc is really good, and the supporting cast, especially Rock, really works. An amazingly touching and very beautiful scene of Freeman and Zellwenger dancing on the edge of the Grand Canyon at night. Lovely. Too bad the post-climax ending is so weak
