The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest

Posted on August 17, 2018 by Village Vidiot

In part 3 of Millenium, Larson’s look at the Swedish right-wing finally comes up to surface after becoming less central to the mission in v2 The ‘secret,’ the arrogant, the anti-democratic becomes palpable played on Lisbeth’s personal history (as they were in the look at fascism and its aftermath in v1) and Blomqvist’s efforts to get at the truth The story line is clean and accurate to the book as far as it goes, but the book is so much richer in plot and character Read the trilogy A wonderful page-turner with complexities that movie-making just can’t bring out. The falsehood of a state that often wants to do the right thing aside, this is a fine piece of popular fiction. A great week of reading, and little else. Forced to cleave to a straighter line, the films become more predictable but are still worth watching
